Steak Monday

It's no secret that Monday nights are possibly the worst night of the week. You've worked all day after a great weekend and have no desire to cook a nutritious dinner for you and your family. So, what do you do? Heat a frozen pizza, scramble some eggs or even order Chinese. What should you do? Have steak!

What? Steak? On a Monday? Yes! A meal that is typically reserved for a weekend or special occasion is equally delicious, make that more delicious when served on a Monday. What a great way to end a long workday. Serve it with some mashed potatoes, salad or even garlic bread. Whatever you choose, steak is sure to spice up your Monday! Go ahead, indulge and make yourself something special- you deserve it!

  1. I agree with you 100%! We've been doing this a lot lately. If we buy steak on sale it's actually pretty reasonably priced. It also keeps in the freezer well for a long time so we stock up at sales and keep a stash ready to go. Sometimes we cook an extra steak just to have leftovers to bring to work (Justin likes steak sandwiches). Finally, when another plain steak just won't do, I throw some flat leaf parsley, fresh garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, and red wine vinegar in the food processor to make a no-fuss chimichurri sauce to liven things up.

Sara, I love the blog. Best of luck!

  2. That sounds great, Andrea. Chimichurri also has quite the fancy ring to it. Steak on a monday does sound delicious, and quite the way to make it through this most unpleasant workday.
